I couldn't have picked a better venue for my fall Nashville-themed wedding. This is a great location tucked in a south Nashville neighborhood. The historic home made for beautiful photos, especially in October with the changing leaves. I can't say enough about June, the event manager there. She who walked me through the premises and helped with the arrangements from that end, and could not have been more responsive and helpful. She was always available for questions. We had the wedding on location, with the lovely double-porches behind us. There is a reception 'barn' on the premises, which is where we had the reception. There was plenty of free parking for guests. Our band set up on the porch during happy hour, and we hired one of the docents to give guests who were interested a tour of the historic home while the wedding party took photos. The reception location had plenty of room for a DJ, buffet line and sit-down and stand-up tables for guests. We had a tent outside of the reception area, and the reception spilled outside to offer even more space for guests. The grounds were so pretty, and a lot of the trees are up-lit, so even as the sun went down, there were lots of opportunities for terrific photos. If I were to get married again tomorrow (to the same guy, of course!), we would do it again at Travellers Rest. It's a great historic part of Nashville, and guests both from Nashville and out of state commented at what a perfect venue it was.
