2019 Annual Meeting
The NSCDA-TN hosted its Annual Meeting May 1st and 2nd in Nashville, TN, where we welcomed Special Guests Anna Duff, President NSCDA and Mimi Hurst, VP NSCDA Region III to Travellers Rest. We had several special moments at this year’s meeting. Anna gave a wonderful presentation on the new NSCDA project, “Great American Treasures.” We also honored our American History Award Scholarship winner, Colbi Hogan along with her professor, Dr. Carroll Van West. Our NSCDA-TN state board also voted unanimously to honor Susan Walker as “Honorary President” of the NSCDA-TN. And last, but certainly not least, Joan Campbell was present to receive her certificate of “50 Years of Membership” in the NSCDA.

Blooms and Bubbles
The NSCDA-TN Young Dames of Nashville gathered at the home of Laura Roberts last weekend for our first “Blooms and Bubbles” party. Laura has a talent for entertaining and flower arranging that she shared with the group in a relaxed gathering. Laura served Prosecco with select aperitifs and hor d’oeuvres while the guests became acquainted with different styles of arrangements and the vessels in which they could be created. Each Young Dame created both a large and small arrangement to take home to use for beautiful Holy Week decor.
2018 Christmas Party
Once again our Christmas Party Committee Dames created a memorable setting for our annual Christmas Party at the Centennial Club. Â The glistening trees on stage surrounding pianist Bill Ferrari lent the aura of a winter wonderland. The lovely floral centerpieces of red, white, green and gold added a special warmth. Â But, best of all, the room was filled with happy, smiling faces and the sounds of pleasant conversation.
